Meet Our Founder, Heather

 

Heather’s journey in the beauty industry began in 2002 as a makeup artist for high-profile clients like Playboy, MTV, and Showtime. She went on to establish a successful bridal beauty company and earned her esthetician license in 2006, operating her own facial business in Los Angeles for over a decade. In March 2023, Heather acquired Ritual Skin and Body Care in Arroyo Grande, infusing her passion and expertise into this sanctuary for women. 

 

As a certified holistic nutritionist and holistic esthetician, Heather gained valuable experience working under a well-known functional medicine doctor in Pismo Beach, which deepened her expertise in holistic skincare and wellness. Her passion for holistic skincare was ignited by her personal struggles with adult acne. After years of grappling with popular harsh treatments that only aggravated her skin, she discovered the profound connection between internal health and skin vitality. During this pivotal experience she also learned how to support her skin’s aging process holistically in her 30’s. Recognizing that traditional norms and trends for age prevention could be damaging – sometimes even accelerating the aging process – Heather became committed to debunking these harmful trends. Now at 40, she is passionate about guiding women who are experiencing signs of aging or the effects of perimenopause on their skin. She focuses on optimal skincare regimens that nourish and revitalize the skin while eliminating harmful trends that can accelerate the aging process.
